What’s Memorable: The completely normal childhood, no clear addiction trigger. How he’s overdosed 8 times since he started using and lives this really messed up existence in his mother’s basement.

Official synopsis: Growing up, Ricky seemed to be on a path to greatness. He was a straight-A student, a star athlete and named one of the three brightest students in school. He joined the Marines, where he served as a police officer. But what started as experimentation with drugs has turned into an out-of-control heroin addiction. Ricky’s friends and family fear for the worst but hope an intervention will be his best chance for getting his life back.

  1. I went to college with him & had no clue he had an addiction. He was very nice & polite & asked me for a ride home one day. He had a nice home in a good neighborhood & seemed completely normal. I do remember him sleeping alot! Always sleepy & tired. Always asleep in class and nodding off. After seeing the show I understood why 🙁 I hope he is doing ok.

  2. As far as addiction trigger, I’d say the fact that his mom was working all the time and he had to parent himself man have had something to do with it.
