Buy Me a Coffee

Season 1 Episode 9

Kelly

Age: 20’s

What’s Memorable: Kelly really helped me understand the thought processes of an anorexic. She’s very articulate about her disease, and she seems like a wonderful person.

I was surprised to see that Kelly’s episode didn’t have any comments on it! I just wanted to post here that Kelly’s Intervention: Legacy follow-up interview was featured in Sturgill’s (S16) episode. It looks like she and her daughter are doing great. I wish them all the best!

I almost feel like Kelly didn’t need the formal intervention show (unless it was the only way to obtain enough money for travel and the treatment center). She seemed to fully knowledgeable about the fact she needed help, and wanted it. She just didn’t know how to move forward. The scene saying goodbye to her daughter was hard to watch. I hope she was able to help her understand she wasn’t leaving her. I really hope she is well.

Kelly looks amazing in her follow up video! Her and her daughter are so cute. So glad Kelly is doing well…keep up the good work Kelly! You look beautiful!

I saw Kelly’s update while watching Hulu and had to buy the episode just to watch it. It’s rare that the show covers anorexia but it really is addictive to starve and I wanted to see the ep. I have to say that Kelly was the most mature, adult, level-headed person I’ve ever seen on this show.
