Poor woman. I think she was lucky Chris was so useless because had he shown any positive emotion, she may not have gone.

    1. Suzon Wildridge

You are so right but Bradley’s letter was the clincher! Thanks for not bashing me;)
      Suzon

    2. Suzon

Still would have gone! It was my love for my kids through God that was the way. Once my Bradley read his letter I knew…now or never! I still have now!!! Thanks so much

I’m watching this episode right now and it just makes my heart hurt. I hope this family has found love, happiness, and stability. My heart goes out to this family.

      2. Amanda

You are a strong woman. I’m so happy you gave yourself that second chance

  2. Gregory Moore

This episode is such a heartbreaker. Poor Bradley, her fine young son, who realizes that even his own suicide attempt couldn’t penetrate his lost mother’s world of crack cocaine. It’s almost too painful to watch this brave young man, trying to hide the fact that he is positively crushed–and helpless–watching his mother self-destruct. I surely do hope that he’s been able to move on to a happy and successful life. Speaking directly to him, I’d say, “No one needs to be shackled into place by their awful upbringing. You can move past this”. Some people, sadly, are just dealt a rotten hand at birth. No 17-year old should have to stare out the window at his mother executing a crack deal on the street.

And this is another one of Candy’s biggest triumphs, too. She’s totally in control and steers this ship masterfully.

I hope this entire family found peace and that Suzon was able to keep her sobriety. But especially, Bradley…I hope life has been kinder to you since this intervention. You deserve some happiness…

    1. Suzon Wildridge

He’s doing very well! He saved my life and I have definitely asked forgiveness and been blessed to have him live me through my crap and forgive me! Praise God!
Thanks for the neat comment and your compassion

I’m so happy to hear this, Suzon! Your story truly touched my heart, and knowing that there has been a “happier chapter” that followed your intervention is wonderful news. As someone who has also triumphed over severe trauma, I send you my sincere best wishes.

      2. V

It’s 2021 and I want to know that you are still doing good! Your story really touched my heart. It was evident by your behavior that even as an addict you still had a huge heart. I was amazed how at your intervention You handled yourself with so much love and humility.

      3. Ashlee

Oh wonderful, Suzon I really liked your episode and could see how very much you loved your son. I’m so glad you’re doing well.

  5. Gina

SUZON!!!! I am watching your episode right now…again…for probably the third time…I cannot tell you enough how amazing you are. That boy you have, Bradley, is truly something spectacular. I am so happy for you, proud of you, in your recovery and sobriety. I honestly think you should be like Sylvia (past intervention, now interventionist) and become an interventionist yourself. I hope your mother got the help she needed, as well. She has a caring heart, I can see it. I wish you all the best in the world, and I am SO happy to see you doing well! Love, love, love you!!

    1. Kara Bishop

Yes Suzon you would be great interventionist with your charismatic & empathetic heart! God Bless! ❤️

  6. Aldo

Such a rough series. So much heartache and pain. I always root for everyone to get well and heal up. I am so glad it seems Suzon is doing well.

    Take care.

  7. Chicky

congrats Suzon for being sober & enjoying life!! I’m so proud of you…I am struggling within myself but I know that it can be possible…keep up the good work!!

    Bright Blessings to you

  8. Frances

Was checking in & hoping to hear good news! At the beginning of the show you “reluctantly” revealed that you were 35~ (Something I would’ve said as well!) I’m a bicentennial baby too:)I & cried during your intervention! You have a truly wonderful family, & I wish you ALL thee best that life has to offer, today & always!

  9. Sad

I am watching Suzon’s episode right now and its heartbreaking. She actually seems to have a great sense of humor. I hope she is doing well, she deserves it.

  10. Stephen

Dixon your story is a story of strength I’m so glad your still sober, my story is similar and my kids helped me get clean myself. Thank you for, sharing your story and I’m so glad you was so strong and was so willing to share your experience with strangers so they can see it is possible.

  11. Kerry

I just watched this episode, this evening, down-under New Zealand 25/1/18. Congratulations, lovely lady!. You did so well 🙂

    Much love…..K.

  12. Shawna Ross

Suzon, your story is so inspiring! So happy for you that you chose your kids and LIFE! Best wishes to you!

  13. Nickel

I’m sorry to say this but her mom Terrie is one of the most self absorbed people I’ve ever seen on this show… and that’s saying something since the show is about addicts and she isn’t even one!! At the intervention the letters start out, “your addiction has affected your life negatively in the following ways..” Her mom said, “your addiction has affected MY life negatively in the following ways.” Then she talks of suicide after the intervention. Really?!! She just wanted the whole thing to be about her. It was disgusting. Otherwise, congratulations Suzon on years of sobriety.

    1. Tazz

So happy to see that I’m not the only one who thought that! All the panning back to Candy and Brad’s faces said it all.

Totally agree. She was desperately trying to make it all about her instead of her daughter. The screaming at her on the stairs…that wasn’t a concern for her child. That was concern purely for herself. “You think I’m messed up NOW?!?!” Totally unnecessary and uncalled for.

    2. Dre

Her mother was literally toxic and you could see it on the face of everyone in the room. Talk about a woman who couldn’t let go of the past and wanted complete acknowledgement of how great she is and how she has done the most while saying she doesn’t want acknowledgment and actually being the most.

  14. Debbie

As a “neighbor”, I followed your story with interest. You have been the most relatable person I’ve seen on the show and I am happy to hear of your continued health and sobriety. I hope for the best for you in the future.

  15. Oran Lee

Suzon is without a doubt one of the most likable people to be featured on this show. I am so happy for her. A true inspiration to me and my own struggles with addiction.

  16. Dennis

Suzon, congrats on 9 years of sobriety, I hope everything is well in your life. Keep up the amazing work, we’re proud of you!

  17. Carol Patterson

Congrats Suzon on your continued success (I TRULY HOPE YOU’RE STILL SOBER!). I totally relate to your struggles as I left my husband and kids and went off to a life of destruction (aided by a thieving, abusive, addicted loser). Over the next 7 yrs, I completed over a dozen treatment stays, but I still could not stay sober more than a few months.
Thankfully,on 10/3/09 I put it down for good and have remained sober since that day. I’m thankful to God and my children for not giving up on me.
Suzon, I wish you the very best life has to offer because you DESERVE it!💖

  18. Cath

Suzon was so aware she needed to stop and seems like a cool lady. I hope she is doing well.

  19. Katie

I just finished watching this episode, it was so powerful! I sobbed when Suzon’s son finished his letter and she said “I’ll do anything for you.” And her reaction to Chris’s comment about not getting paid, haha…I feel like her personality came through a lot there. I truly hope she is thriving these days.

    1. A.S.

Yes I loved that, she said “are you kidding me?” lol.

    2. Kitty Katt

I loved that part too. I was a little shocked to see that she went back to him after rehab.

      1. AJT

No she didn’t. She broke up with him. 🙂

  20. Meg

Suzon seems like a really nice person. I have no doubt she is living sober now and is busy being awesome. Go Suzon!

  21. Oshea2217

No wonder Suzan was a drug addict. Her mother is total narcissist. The letter she wrote wasn’t to help Suzan, but talk about herself, her sacrifices, her love. I was shocked when she and her mother had the disagreements at the mothers house, and again, it was all about her. She never even mentioned her young grandsons who were without their mother. Kudos to Suzon’s father for listening to Candy and stepping outside of his own feelings.

As the show’s ending, I felt hopeful for Suzan. Unfortunately, her mother seems to be in the same place where she was before Suzon’s intervention.

  22. Nikki Maitland

    Suzon,
I just wanted to check and see how you are doing! Your episode brought tears of joy. Hearing your father tell you how your addiction affected his life and hearing your mom moved you. But when you immediately moved due to your sons emotions proves that a mother’s love knows no bounds. You are awesome and I hope you are still doing well. Best wishes to you and your boys. I pray your sobriety becomes easier as the days go by.

    1. April S.

According to her Facebook page, she is still clean today and looking fantastic. Congrats, Suzon!!

      1. Lily

Just watched the show and had to Google to see how it went for her. So thrilled to see she stayed clean and sober and has a good relationship with her children. Suzon, I know you come read this – kudos to you. It is not easy to claw your way back up from rock bottom.

  23. Betsy Baldwin

Suzon, I was so happy to see how well you’re doing! I literally had the biggest smile on my face when I finished your episode and was checking on you. You’ve got some amazing sons and you should be SO proud of yourself for everything you’ve accomplished!

  24. Elizabeth

I nominate Suzon for the Most Likable Addicts list! Something about her just draws you, she seems like such a bright, fun person, even when in the throes of her addiction. Her slamming the cell phone in Bradley’s hand and saying, “Here!” after hearing Chris’s reaction to her telling him she was going to treatment is one of my all-time favorite Intervention moments. I hope Suzon is continuing to thrive in sobriety.

    1. Gigi

I agree that was a great moment! Even in the depths of her addiction she saw that mess for exactly what it was!

    2. Kara Bishop

Dizzy… yes, Suzon should be nominated for most likable addicts 😁 there are so so many of us commenting on here about how much we love Suzon… such a charismatic, loving, & spirited lady!

  25. suzB

I loved Suzon. talk about a beautiful soul lost in addiction. there was something so endearing about her even deep in her addiction. from reading comments it sounds like today she is doing well & I’m so glad to hear it 💜

  26. Todd

This is going to sound pretty nasty but this episode had me hysterical. It was the fighting between Suzon’s Mother and Father at the Intervention that did it. The look on the Mother’s face, and then when she said “I won’t mention his name” had be laughing like crazy. But onto the serious stuff – I certainly liked Suzon. Couldn’t figure out what she saw in that Chris guy. but hey, it isn’t the first time I’ve seen a girl with a guy and didn’t understand what she was doing. I checked Suzon’s Facebook and she looks fantastic. If she is still using I’d be astonished cuz she just looks too good and too happy. This is what hooked me so quickly on “Intervention”, I love finding out what happens to the addicts. I think Suzon won. And I am very happy for her. Congrats Suzon!

    1. Bails

My partner and I both were shocked by how immature those two were with one another. Definitely a lot of narcissism coming from the mom. I hope the help the mother got stayed with her and she continued(s) to work on herself to this day!

  27. Kel

This is one of my favorite episodes. I’m so happy to see Suzon living the life she deserves, and giving her children the lives they deserve. She really is a hero and an inspiration!!

  28. Nahrissa

What an incredible episode! I really felt for Suzon’s children and even though I didn’t understand her relationship with Chris, I definitely felt for her too. I could not figure out what was going on with her mother, and I hope they were able to find a healthy relationship balance. Before the episode even finished I came to the comments and saw Suzon’s updates and I was so happy. I did do a quick FB search (I always feel kind of icky doing that!) and burst into tears to see her and Bradley still in contact and doing so well and just looking absolutely amazing. Nothing but best wishes for their continued successes!

  29. Maggie

This is one of those episodes I watch thinking, “Oh God, she’s not going to be able to snap out of it; this isn’t going to have a good ending” and it was painful because I liked her so much! I was so thrilled to see the positive ending… and reading these updates is a very happy surprise!

  30. Kara Bishop

Suzon, your episode really touched my heart! I was so glad to look on here and see, just how successful you are doing in life and sobriety! I am so happy for you and your sons! It is great to hear that your amazing Bradley is doing so awesome!! As you can see from all these comments, you should be nominated for most likable addict 😁 You truly are such a fascinating, loving, witty, & personable, soul! I’m sending you lots of love & blessings on this New Year’s Eve Day! ❤️🙏🏼

  31. DKB

Just here to say, her FB profile shows she celebrated 10 yrs of sobriety as of 2021. AMAZING!

    1. Lizzie

      Good for her! Congratulations Suzon!

  32. shifty
