I’m really happy that she pulled her life together! I hope she is still on the right path today.

I just rewatched Gina, and have a question…did it seem odd that she was nodding out although her drug was meth? I always thought the nod-out was generally seen with opiates. Anybody?

I also thought this was really odd too. I thought maybe she’d been up for several days and was just so tired, but then again she was probably on more than she said just for the simple fact that she wouldn’t talk about some things on the show anyway.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe it’s when she’s not on the meth. Or it could be a long term side effect. I noticed that she would roll her eyes in a weird way and one eye was half shut. The show said she had been using meth for 10 years. You could definitely see the long term effects both mentally and physically. I hope she is doing much better and those effects can be reversed.

    3. Erin

She was probably nodding off because she’d been up for days.

It’s not odd, meth addicts can stay up for days on end when using because it gives you that energy to stay awake for days. This causes addicts to hallucinate and become paranoid, even aggressive. When they are eventually able to get sleep, they can sleep for days.

  3. Andy

Does anyone know how she’s doing now?

Where is Dizzys screen shot from? I watched this episode just now and Gina never looked like this during her interviews. Her hair was longer and curly and her makeup was different. Or maybe I missed a part?

    1. Dizzy

I think this shot was grabbed from the scene during the followup, after she was in treatment.

      1. Brooke

i watched to the very end and there was no follow up with gina during the episode itself that i saw.

They did a follow up with her after she completed treatment that wasn’t in the episode. She lived in Prescott, Arizona for a little while before moving back to Las Vegas.

  5. Susie

@Brooke, I just re-watched this episode and it said Gina moved back to Vegas, got a job with a credit card processing company, and has been sober since the intervention.
